Got a great project or skill you’d like to teach? Then Quilt ‘Til U Wilt 2019 (July 20, 2019, Henderson Convention Center, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm) may be a perfect opportunity for you! If you have taught a class for DQN in 2017 or 2018 you do not qualify to teach this event.
The presentations will be conducted at the end of the business meeting; plan to be there approximately 11:30 a.m. The decision will be made by the DQN Board after all the presentations have been made. Get your proposal and sample (required) together and bring it to the November 10th, 2018 meeting held at:
Aerospace Union Hall 6330 S Eastern Ave, Ste 3 Las Vegas, NV 89119
Your presentation must include an example of your project and all costs (kits, pattern, book, etc.) that members will incur when they register. It is also important to provide any special requirements for supplies, room set-up, etc. You will be compensated at a fee of $25 per student.
Teacher requirements for Quilt ‘Til U Wilt include promotion of your class by preparing documents for the Chatter and website and visiting the Circle meetings to show your project and encourage attendance. Take your registration forms with you as some people may want to sign up after they see your project. Registration can be done in person with you with cash or check, or online with a credit card.
The Program Chair is responsible for tracking class registration. The class is all-day during the times noted above; you should expect to be there early to set-up and a little later to pack up. The Program Chair (Chris Meeks) will be responsible for getting basic equipment to the class including irons and ironing boards and ordering lunch. This is meant to be a fun day of learning for Guild members and a great way to share your love of quilting with the membership! We look forward to hearing and seeing your proposals at the November 2018 board meeting! If you have questions, please contact Chris Meeks, 2019 Program Chair, cmeeks56gmail.com, 614-209-9490.
