In this class, students will enhance their skills and achieve proficiency in Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) by constructing a custom Landscape Pattern from the Capturing Memories Quilt Pattern Series: “Road Trip”. This pattern was specifically designed for both Desert Quilters and QuiltCon 2025. With a selection of vivid and modern colors, this class project lays the groundwork for a comprehensive and enriching learning experience.
The project measures 27” x 27” and uses 15 fabric colors. It is meticulously designed to help students delve into the core aspects of FPP, including navigating complex angles, achieving precise point alignment, fabric placement and positioning, understanding seam line definition, ensuring shape continuity, and executing accurate piecing techniques. These skills will empower students to confidently assemble both small and large, irregularly shaped fabric pieces, equipping them with the ability to undertake any FPP project with ease and assurance.
