Greetings folks –
Hoping that those who celebrate Hanukkah enjoyed the Festival of Lights, and those who celebrate Christmas and Kwanzaa are all set for a joyous festive season.
This week’s guests are Marlin Williams and Nancy Morneault representing Desert Quilters of Nevada.
“Desert Quilters of Nevada has quilted for their families, friends, church members, military, their four legged friends, homeless, street teens, cancer patients and hospital babies. In addition to many charity quilt projects, they have adopted the Quilts of Valor, for all military who have served our country, as an ongoing community service project.”
Nevada also had the honor to provide the Christmas trees that will be on display at the U.S. Capitol this year. Desert Quilters of Nevada members responded to a request from the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest Employees to create beautiful, high quality tree skirts to accompany trees throughout federal and congressional buildings in Washington D.C. They provided ten spectacular skirts all of which can be seen by watching this interview.
Should you know of anyone who may be interested in learning to quilt, or joining one of their several circles or any organization which can benefit from their donated quilts, please share this interview with them.

Warmest wishes for a wonderful festive season. Please stay safe.
