What is a Circle?
Desert Quilters of Nevada began when several small groups of quilters, that had been meeting throughout the Las Vegas area for a number of years, worked together to create the guild. These groups have continued to maintain their form and function and are called "Circles". Each circle chooses what their focus will be, what projects they work on, what classes are taught within the group, and when and where they meet.
These smaller groups are a great place to get to know some of our members and for them to get to know you. Most circles meet on a monthly basis, some meet every other week and one group even meets weekly. Holiday parties are an annual event for most of our circles. Circles are a fun way to stay active in addition to our quarterly guild meetings.

cir·cle (sûrkl) n. A group of people sharing an interest, activity, or achievement: well-known in artistic circles. [Middle English cercle, from Old French, from Latin circulus, diminutive of circus, circle, from Greek kirkos, krikos; see sker-2 in Indo-European roots.]
