We are mainly a social circle; meetings may include a raffle table, a swap meet, classes on techniques, quilt patterns and tote bags. We participate in fun projects such as ugly fabric contests, fabric exchanges, block exchanges, mystery quilts, rock paintings and charity projects.

Rainbow Scrap Quilt Challenge Make a block, any block, any size, any number each month using scraps and the color of the month. The block can be different each month. Make anything you want from the block or blocks. It can be a quilt, table topper, mug rug, tote bag, project bag - anything you want to make at the end. Each month bring your finished block for show and tell (and accountability to keep up) February Red March Green April Blue May Purple June Sky Blue July Turquoise August Yellow September Orange October ??? Finished projects are due at the Christmas Party on December 17. Also our Christmas Challenge is black and white with one color. We plan to have early sewing in March and work on our row quilts or personal projects, and in April we will make baby flannel quilts for the church to use for Women’s Resource Center. Also, if anyone has patterns we can use for our “rows” please bring them to share with the group so we have more variety. Please remember to bring: $5 for the church Show and Tell Something for the raffle table Also, please bring tips, tricks or a favorite notion to share with the group. The last time we did this we got a good response and learned things that were very helpful. BarbaraJean 10am for early sewing and 1pm for the meeting. We have so much room to spread out, please join us early.

10 am to 3pm February Recap:Despite the rainyweather we had a great turnout for our meeting and early sewing yesterday. Everyone who came to sew worked on their own special projects, mainly our rainbow scrap project Spring Valley Baptist Church
3135 So. Rainbow Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89146 The door to the classroom is on the north side of the building. Always needed are 45x50 (approx) lap quilts for adults. We plan to make some “3 yard quilts” next year with donated fabric from Sheila. October sighting at Rainbow Circle.
